Privacy policy
Last Updated / Effective Date: July 1, 2025
ComplyWall is a privacy-first, browser-based age estimation solution developed by Nordstem Solutions. We believe in protecting user privacy by design—our service performs anonymous, real-time age verification without collecting, storing, or transmitting personal information.
This Privacy Policy explains how ComplyWall works, what we do (and don’t do) with information, and how we comply with applicable U.S. privacy and children’s protection laws.
1. Scope of This Policy
This policy applies solely to the ComplyWall technology, which may be embedded or used on websites to restrict access to age-sensitive content (e.g., adult content, regulated goods, children's platforms).
It does not apply to the websites or businesses using ComplyWall; their own privacy policies may differ.
2. What Information We Collect
We don’t collect any personal information.
When a user interacts with ComplyWall:
The device’s webcam briefly activates
Facial features are temporarily processed locally to estimate age
No data is uploaded, stored, or sent to any server
We do not:
Record or store images or video
Extract biometric identifiers
Track user behavior
Use cookies or browser fingerprinting
Log IP addresses or create user profiles
Everything happens in the browser, on the user’s device, in real time.
3. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Statement)
ComplyWall is designed to help website operators comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by preventing access to age-restricted content.
We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13, nor do we have the ability to identify or track any users.
4. Data Retention
ComplyWall does not retain any information.
All temporary visual data is processed locally and discarded immediately after the age estimation is complete.
5. Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
ComplyWall does not sell or share any user data.
Because no personal data is collected, California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) “sale” and “sharing” provisions do not apply.
6. User Rights (California & Beyond)
Under U.S. state privacy laws (e.g., CCPA/CPRA, Virginia CDPA, Colorado CPA), individuals may have rights to access, delete, or correct their personal information.
However, ComplyWall processes no personal data, so we:
Do not have access to any information to respond to such requests
Do not maintain any user records
Respect privacy by eliminating the need for data entirely
7. Security
ComplyWall never transmits sensitive information outside the user’s device.
By avoiding storage, transmission, and third-party access, we reduce the attack surface and eliminate most security risks by design.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on our website, and the "Effective Date" will be updated accordingly.
